keep checkin back remember-i can't see the guestbook, visits, (or anything else!) entries. an update 3-30-21 and without doing politics or religion been tryin to pick up the music with a coupla guys from a while back. slow for this. fixin stuff first settin up still gettin the chops back . so here we are. we're all supposed to watchin our health still hope everybody is however you choose to do it seems we're a little apart on how to do this my personal tally is 8 folks dealt with the virus. 1 veryx2 bad and 2 very bad 1 pretty bad 3 not too bad one minor discomfort 2 deaths with comorbs.2 interpersonal transmissions. for me that comes to 3% weathers changing both warmer and weirder so there's sporadic yardwork right? fun wow and it hurts anymore right? but for march we'll take it near 70 today word has it there's an asphalt plant in works to be an N.U. nextdoor neighbor hot burning PolyCyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons always a favorite aroma smells like victory lookin for a car/truck 21 september been lookin at countries to retire on a budget. made me wonder who we know that went, became expats somewhere else. feedback please.. 12 september new pic from our friend in washington state fire smoke air quality 9 september BTW the "then" pic is my dad surrounded by his some of his artwork. norma higgs in her gazette columns about local music, never once mentioned dad. boo one of the best all-around musicians on violin in new york state. he played it all. dixieland jazz, country, dinner music (boy where do you hear THAT being played live anymore?) strolling, rock and the darnedest imitation of jack benny's screeching mistakes lotta weddings. alone sometimes. dad was the first locally to play electric using a taped-on pickup from vince brundo's music store. still have both of them. not to take away from the recent loss of don shrimpton, in don's obit joe depietro is finally mentioned. my thanks and condolences to you and yours for your loss and the mention when dad sat in at john;s flaming hearth with don, and danny palazzo i would be the roadie carrying dad's amp and setting him up. talk about being in the midst of some of the true pros.if i tried to list them all i'd run outta room. man those guys could play. everything. to name one or two--lou barone dan bednarski joe calato sr and jr benny johnson tony prioretti will alger and the salt city six at the fieldstone on transit paul janik all the rest of the international federation of musicians locally and buffalo.not forgetting tony scibilia or dick brownell carmen mosher tommy tedesco uncle charlie depietro and their trio in the 30's the niagara falls philharmonic tony grizanti sr wally whetham hal palumbo there's a coupla more...like about 200 or so. then there's dads artwork. most everyone has or knows someone who has something dad drew be it a portrait, calendar, sign. he did don's business cards pretty sure. think i still have the original drafts. 4 september just finished "tyrannosaur canyon" heavy on commando veterinarian, purpose-questioning monk good ride by Douglas Preston "black sea" coupla weeks ago cruise ship hijacking said goodbye to my neighbor today into the afterlife. good singer, guitarist gonna miss the guy new pics JOHN BATOR--ADDED PIC FOR THE OLD "DOTS" GAME ____.YER MOVE____. as always READ ENTIRE STORY ! updated 30 august, 2020 dunno how this site figgers things out noticing odd errorswho what where when people before/after 72 in with 72? post-grad i can understand early grads should have a note about it we hadda couple 1,2 from 70 was 72 YB here and taken out? thought it was in 2010. with a super-phone/camera should be easier to get shots of the pages than with a scanner.mini reunion work project? deductible write-off? who's the accountant of the group? updated 28 august, 2020 never intended to get on social, or political commentary here but this is getting outta hand it fell on our generation t...Expand for more
o fix what was wrong back in the day. the illegal aggression in vietnam, whatever other injustices as issues we grew into pressuring "the establishment" to recognise us as CITIZENS AND VOTERS we tried, we prevailed, but then we STOPPED BEING ACTIVE no matter where our thoughts dwell, MURDER IS JUST WRONG, AND NEVER JUSTIFIABLE we protested for our causes, sure, but WE NEVER GOT SHOT AT. and certainly not by armed civilians. any shooting at/of protesters STOPPED after the horrors of KENT STATE, WOUNDED KNEE AND CHICAGO. end of rant BTW i still have the yo yo updated 25 august, 2020 new pics updated 24 august, 2020 > new pic-as we come into the fall and it's unique activities < updated 23 august, 2020 for those who cracked the code--congratulations ! for those who didn't--c'mon. ITS NOT THAT HARD ! updated 17 august, 2020 >>>dont have no upgrade, only the "classmates" free version.<<< >>>soo, no guestbook access. your name will be looking blurry >>> new/old story- tryin 2 get an email address in 2001 old service kept gettin hacked-big-time spam a bud says do this free email super safe military level double encryption double password recipient password enabled. this is "proton mail" from Switzerland. just info no ad here just passin it on so the email service pops up this window to join and says choose a screenname/mailname whatever .after a bunch of tries that fail "already used" i finally yell at the thing(explicatives deleted) as i type in-- "make me up a name now" it goes for it >>>> all one word of course <<<< tried the screenname it works again go figger of course everything about ALL this is all one word with the dot com-blah blah .makemeup-blah blah cyber-digital life goes on so a few years later i'm in this sports medicine place about my knee very young receptionist asks whats yer email? i say-ready? yes i tell her, "make me up a name now." she says i cant make you up a name. do you have an email you'd like to use?? again i say-yes ready? yes i tell her, "make me up a a name now." she says i cant make you up a name.whats yer email? this goes on and on 4, 5, 6 times people behind me are amused they know whats goin on im abbott shes costello whos on first ? finally i have to say, "press these keys.as i say them." she says, "okay" i say--- M---A---K---E---M---E---U---P---A---N---A---M---E---N---O---W "AND NOW THE LITTLE SQUIGGLY "AT SIGN" THING." she says, " okay". i say, "P---R---O---T---O---N---M---A---I---L---DOT---COM." she types this in and still doesn't get it. i say, " now what does it say ?" glad she dont have the nuke launch codes she actually had to sound it out as she read it classmates--our futures at the hands of the young is in a lot of trubble. so murr--nice to hear from you man. and this is 14 august 2020 BTW. this classmates site is so clunky to deal with. yer growth spurt was a subject in a long confab about bollier ave in the 60's. weems jumpin off the garage roof into the pool, cathy drummin for the band, the reeves'..hangin out there...some of the others in the neighborhood. briefly--still playin music, had a bunch of cardiac problems, gotta cush plant job for 20 years, worked with brand coram, then really started workin'4 a livin i'm what's called a stationary engineer (no im retired so USED TO BE)-- (boiler guy)..building engineer. got a degree in facilities management and maintenance, buncha other certifications national assn of power engineers, licenses..last job was the buffalo zoo. quit in december. kinda forced into retirement. three boys, grandkids, the whole nine yards. busier now than i was when i was working.ain't it always the way ? great to hear from you old friend..many many memories there. robin ;) nice of you. thanks neil so its 8 yrs late but i got to it hahn see above newer note about zoo band and pics too playin civil war americana music on the clock in zoo work uniforms not rock-god tights
